And rather than transition improving his mental health, it’s made him an emotional neurotic mess who’s more dysphoric than ever and constantly self-conscious about whether he passes as a woman. Moreover, this lifestyle choice destroyed his relationship with his family because he’s predicated his happiness on convincing his family that he is something he’s not. This is not a recipe for “authenticity.” This is not “lifesaving healthcare.” Literally the only benefit he’s gotten from transition is that when he’s all dolled up and looks in the mirror he feels a rush of euphoria at how “hot” he looks. Fellas with AGP, I can tell you that rush of euphoria is not worth destroying your life and making you a neurotic mess.
