All this time, many of us thought Ling was walking a little awkwardly because she was sore from the gym. Only later did we find out she had injured her toe from work and running. Yet she never made a fuss about it. Instead, she joked about covering her feet, made everyone laugh, and carried on as if everything was fine. She later shared that, with how busy she had been, it took months before she finally had the chance to get it checked. And by the time she told the story, it was already recovering. She mentioned it so casually, almost as if it was nothing. That’s just who Ling is. She’s one of the strongest women I know—someone who quietly carries her responsibilities, always tries to make the people around her feel comfortable, and gives her best to every piece of work. It’s no surprise that the people who work with her always praise her professionalism and dedication. But my kid… Sometimes, it’s okay to cry. It’s okay to tell us when you’re having a hard time. You don’t always have to carry everything by yourself. Because you’ve always been so strong, people forget that strength doesn’t mean you never get hurt. It represents a way of life. It was taken when I went to Cannes with Dior Beauty. The workload was actually quite heavy because I had a lot of content to shoot, and we wrapped up very late that day. But I still made time to wake up early and go for a run. When I woke up that morning and opened the window, I thought, “Wow, the weather is beautiful. Let’s go for a run.” I wanted to explore the city, see what it had to offer, feel its atmosphere, and observe how people lived their lives. I saw many things that you normally wouldn’t get to see. There were 3 people sleeping by the beach in sleeping bags. There were also people who had clearly just come back from a party—still dressed beautifully, carrying their shoes and walking home barefoot. There were many moments like that. It all felt very healing. And I thought to myself that 10 years from now—or however many years from now—I still hope to live this kind of life: having time for myself, enjoying life, loving myself, staying strong, staying healthy, and having time to take care of myself. That’s what this photo represents. It was taken while I was out running, looking for a café to sit in by myself, and buying coffee and croissants to bring back for the team. 🎤 Host: Next time, you’ll have to teach us how to take selfies that look this good. 🦮 Ling: It’s easy.
