I love this tidbit from JD Vance on Charlie Kirk. Vance recalls how he walked away from his debate with Walz kinda liking the guy. He shared this with Kirk who told him, yeah, this is why I debate + meet people in person. It bridges the gap, it brings us -- as humans, as Americans -- closer together. On a personal note, this is a big reason why I love what I do. I get to actually MEET the people I cover. And it really changes the way you think about them. I love that Kirk thought the same. There were so many things that made him special + so many lessons we can take from him and continue to share.

Vance's closing monologue on "The Charlie Kirk Show" is the clearest message we have seen from the White House following Charlie's death. The vice president expresses how he longs for unity, but that unity can only come after the Truth is told. He lays into the far left and accuses their ideology of plaguing the nation of violence and brokenness. This, he says, is holding us back from unity. I've really appreciated in the Pentagon press briefings how Gen. Caine has used his opening remarks to recognize different members of our Joint Forces. The stories he shares about these young soldiers and the work they are doing, all with humility and bravery, are inspiring. We are the greatest country in the world. God bless our troops and God bless America.
