Huang Jing: For Iran, simply holding out and dragging the war on would mean victory In yesterday's episode of Guancha's program Thinkers Point, international strategy expert Professor Huang Jing stated that Iran's military capabilities lag far behind those of the United States and Israel. For Iran, the path to "winning" lies in simply enduring and prolonging the conflict. He added: The U.S. aims for a quick, decisive victory. It only has two carrier strike groups in the region, and its ammunition stockpiles are already insufficient. With the Russia-Ukraine war still raging and the need to prepare for potential contingencies with China in the Asia-Pacific, America's ability to replenish munitions is severely strained. If the fighting were to drag on as Trump once suggested—for a full four weeks—it could essentially deplete the U.S. arsenal. What happens then if Russia launches a major offensive, or if a serious crisis erupts in the Asia-Pacific at the same time? If Iran's leadership is rational, it has only one objective: to rally together and stretch this war out as long as possible.
