Mike Rogers keeps telling Michigan voters that he worked on an auto assembly line building Chrysler Sebring convertibles. But the timeline just doesn’t add up. Records show Rogers worked at Cars & Concepts in Brighton in 1981–82, modifying vehicles after they had already been built on Chrysler’s factory assembly line. The Chrysler Sebring convertible wasn’t introduced until 1995…. more than a decade after Rogers says he did this work. Voters deserve the truth, and it is clear Roger’s isn’t capable of telling it. This isn’t a minor detail. It’s a central part of the working-class story he has repeatedly used to appeal to Michigan voters (especially auto-workers)
