According to FOX 2 Detroit, 28-year-old Samantha Koss has been charged after video allegedly showed her smacking, kicking, and manhandling Frankie, a 6-year-old pit bull she had been paid to watch in Warren, Michigan. Koss was arraigned on animal cruelty to one animal and dog stray charges. The judge ordered her to have no contact with animals considered pets. Frankie reportedly did not suffer permanent injuries, but this case still matters. Animals deserve protection from the people trusted to care for them.
