Breaking: Pet-Sitter Charged After Viral Video Frankie is safe. That is the good news. According to FOX 2 Detroit, 28-year-old Samantha Koss has been charged after video allegedly showed her smacking, kicking, and manhandling Frankie, a 6-year-old pit bull she had been paid to watch in Warren, Michigan. Koss was arraigned on animal cruelty to one animal and dog stray charges. The judge ordered her to have no contact with animals considered pets. Frankie reportedly did not suffer permanent injuries, but this case still matters. Animals deserve protection from the people trusted to care for them. Breaking - Peanut the social media star has been euthanized, along with his companion raccoon. It’s a devastating blow to Peanut’s Freedom Farm, a nonprofit that has rescued more than 300 animals from abusive situations in just one year. The Department of Environmental Conservation stated that complaints were received regarding potentially unsafe housing for wildlife that could carry rabies, as well as concerns over illegally keeping wildlife as pets. Each dog had been saved from euthanasia, living with disabilities, and struggling to walk. A neighbor—asked by the next of kin—found him deceased with all three dogs still lying by him. 🐶 Neighbors stepped in, and now this Texas dog is safe Johnson County, Texas Sheldon Parrett, arrested after witnesses say they found a dog chained outside with its mouth "allegedly" duct-taped shut, leaving the poor pup not able to breathe property eat or drink! The couple who reportedly got the info out reported confronting the owner, who allegedly said it was his “way of training,” and they later provided video to deputies. 🚨 Breaking: Court documents reveal animal control officer used pistol with silencer to euthanize dogs 🐾 Silsbee, Texas — We’re learning more about Joshua Nolen, the former Silsbee animal control officer arrested Friday and charged with improper methods of euthanasia. The arrest follows a viral video recorded by local resident Michelle Corbitt Ladner. Court documents allege Nolen used his personal .22-caliber pistol equipped with a silencer to euthanize multiple dogs, violating state guidelines on humane euthanasia. According to a sworn affidavit, Ladner went to the Silsbee Animal Shelter (142 Woodward Lane) on February 27 to surrender two stray dogs she found in Evadale. While waiting for Nolen, she discovered numerous canine remains about 200 feet from the shelter, scattered through a wooded area and floating in a drainage ditch. Investigators say the dogs were in various stages of decomposition.
