🚨 When did Kentucky become a Sanctuary STATE? 🚨 Kentucky is quietly operating as a sanctuary state. Illegal immigrants arrested for crimes — sometimes even felonies — are being released back into our communities without so much as a glance at their immigration status. This isn’t the fault of our judges, police, or lawmakers, who work tirelessly to secure Law and Order in Kentucky. It’s the work of unelected bureaucrats who are dodging the law and putting Kentuckians at serious risk. At Tuesday’s Judiciary Committee hearing, I uncovered a shocking truth: the system designed to protect us is failing on purpose. When someone is arrested in Kentucky, Risk Assessment Specialists (RAS) and Pretrial Services Specialists (PSS) evaluate whether they’re a flight risk, likely to skip court, or a danger to the public (KRS 431.066). These factors determine if they’re released, often without a bond or even seeing a judge. But here’s the problem—RAS and PSS don’t bother checking if the person is an illegal immigrant, even when federal databases like NCIC could reveal an ICE detainer (a request from ICE to hold the individual for 48 hours for deportation proceedings), prior deportations, and other immigration cases. I pressed an executive officer of the Department of Pretrial Services at the hearing, and they admitted: immigration status isn’t even considered. Illegal immigrants, by their very presence, are breaking federal law. Many lack ties to the community, making them inherent flight risks. They’re less likely to show up to court and more likely to pose a danger if released. Yet, Kentucky’s bureaucrats are letting them walk free, often before ICE even knows they’re in custody. This is a betrayal of public safety and a slap in the face to the rule of law. That’s why I will be proposing legislation that: ✅ Requires Risk Assessment Specialists to check a defendant’s immigration status. ✅ Prohibits bail for anyone whose legal status can’t be verified until ICE is contacted and decides whether to pick them up for deportation. This ensures illegal immigrants aren’t released to disappear into our communities while awaiting trial. It’s common sense, and it’s already within the spirit of existing Kentucky law—just ignored by liberal, Beshear-loving bureaucrats hiding in administrative roles. Kentucky deserves better than a system that prioritizes criminal illegal aliens over citizens. I’m fighting to end this hug-a-thug, sanctuary state nonsense and restore accountability. Will you join me? ⬇️

Thomas Massie has been a hero, a mentor, and a supporter to me since I was very young. He’s been a champion for the America First cause, and a thorn in the side of big government for as long as I can remember. For that reason, he has my complete support. Thomas Massie's commitment to the Constitution and the principles of liberty is unmatched. His proven track record in Congress speaks volumes, and has yielded him the top scores from organizations like Turning Point, Gun Owners of America, and the New American Freedom Index. He consistently fights against government overreach and advocates for individual freedom, limited government, and fiscal responsibility. In 2020, Massie stood alone in Congress to object to the funding of COVID Lockdowns. When Andy Beshear received that funding, Beshear tried to jail me for going to church. I sued Beshear and won, but Thomas Massie had my back the entire time. That's the kind of unwavering commitment to principles we need in Frankfort and Washington DC! Congressman Massie continues to fight for our rights and fiscal sanity. When President Trump announced his support for abolishing taxes on tips and overtime pay, Thomas Massie introduced a bill to do just that. Thomas Massie forced a vote, exposing the swamp, on eliminating the $5 billion dollars per year the federal government spends on welfare for refugees - which is directly tied to the Somali fraud we see in Minnesota. Thomas Massie is also the sponsor of Nationwide Constitutional Carry, a bill we BADLY need to restore the Second Amendment. Thomas Massie continues to hold true to the America First Principles that are essential to Make America Great Again. Thomas Massie is the real deal, and I'm honored to endorse him.

🚨 BREAKING: The Kentucky House just passed HB 312, lifting the concealed carry ban for law-abiding 18-20 year-olds! Today we took a major step to restore the full Second Amendment rights of young Kentuckians. I was proud to stand on the floor and defend this bill with facts, not fear. Here’s the reality check I gave to the House: - Defensive gun uses happen between 500,000 and 2.5 million times every year in America (DOJ National Crime Victimization Survey). - When a firearm is merely shown (not even fired), it stops the attack in 91% of home invasion cases. - Men who comply with an attacker are 140% more likely to be injured than those who defend themselves with a gun. For women, compliance makes them 250% more likely to be injured than armed defense. - The CDC’s claim that firearms are the #1 killer of children was based on manipulated numbers because they intentionally excluded infants and artificially expanded the age range to even include legal adults. When corrected, it drops to #19. We don’t restrict constitutional rights because someone might misuse them. We don’t ban free speech because someone might lie. We don’t throw out the warrant requirement because evidence might be hidden. We don’t eliminate jury trials because a verdict might be wrong. Every law-abiding 18-20 year-old who wants to carry already does in Kentucky. This bill simply makes the law match reality and our Constitution by trusting young adults the same way we trust them to drive, vote, sign contracts, and defend our nation. Thank you Savannah Maddox for leading this fight!
