It feels so good watching this thing place components more precisely that I ever could.

I love how simple yet useful this is. I have a bunch of gimbal motors that I should use to try and make this.

I BLINDED myself with these fucking tiny neon led strip things. The packaging said 5V so I did and it a was. Brighter than a fucking WELDING ARC!!! I can’t see shit still. If you buy these things, turn them on at 2.5V I have a headache and my eyes hurt a lot. I’m not joking 🙃

I CANT BE STOPPED! Just when I thought I couldn’t get any better we got it to boot first try! NOBODY builds entry level electronics projects like me!

3D printed stencils are the future! Three boards at once with automatic alignment, it doesn’t get better than this!

The most retarded purchase I’ve ever made is here! It’s a MagSafe neck loop so I can record POV videos. I have literally 0 use for this other than posting silly videos on the internet. The footage is takes is pretty sweet!

3D PRINT YOUR OWN STENCILS I made a 3d printed solder stencil generator to see if it's feasible to make my own stencils for 10x less that it costs to get one from the fab. Enjoy my first public repo :)

Tested out the wireless LEDs I got from aliexpress. My fiancé wants me to make some sort of wireless firefly. Not sure what other uses there are, but they’re really cool!

The 3D printed stencil generator now has automatic alignment. No more lining up the stencil and taping it down, just drop it on and go. You can also now use gerber files directly instead of an SVG I'm printing some tests right now and will make more improvements as I use it.

The absolute worst thing possible happened. I ordered the boards with a v-score so I could snap them apart into 9 separate boards, they did not come with it. I don’t even know where to go from here, so incredibly bummed. I guess I will have to order some more boards.

PCB MILLER IS WORKING! You can now generate the gcode to mill a PCB in UNDER ONE MINUTE. No installation, no dependencies, just ONE HTML FILE!!! I still have a lot of improvements to make but I would call this a complete victory. You can just make your own software.

THIS IS WHY YOU TEST THINGS YOURSELF! Any resource I could find online told me these two configurations for addressable LEDs would not work, but here it is working! Testing this will let me save up to $0.30 and 6 components per board! Trust nothing, verify everything!

NOBODY DOES IT LIKE ME! I ordered these PCBs but forgot V cuts. So I spent weeks learning how to use a CNC, writing my own software, and being frustrated by failures and setbacks, but I finally did it!! All this effort to save a board worth $5. Worth it.

It's actually OVER for any PCB milling software, they all SUCK! I put the nail in the coffin by adding v cuts and trace selection. Next up is double sided boards and alignment holes. Never again will you suffer to make a PCB at home! OPEN SOURCE AND FREE

Probing my 555 PWM circuit with an oscilloscope. I feel like I’m learning, I’m really doing it. A few months ago using an oscilloscope seemed so far out of reach. I struggle every day but I feel myself improving. You really can just do stuff.

I ironed out a few problems today. Balance point adjustment and some final PID tuning are all that’s left I think. Anyone know how to fix the eventual falling over to one side? (All of this still looks like shit but I promise it’s doing better than it was earlier)
