The federal electricity regulations are irresponsible and unaffordable. Alberta calls on all Canadians to oppose regulations that will make it more costly to keep the lights on and hurt grid reliability for families. Join us in keeping 🇨🇦 electricity affordable and reliable.

Major banks across North America are leaving Mark Carney’s international net-zero banking scheme. But some Canadian banks remain members. Tell the remaining Canadian banks to abandon Carney’s net-zero banking alliance and invest in safe, affordable, reliable Canadian energy again!

This is Alberta 🌾🏔️ This reclaimed land behind me used to be a tailings pond…now, it has been returned to its natural state, supporting diverse ecosystems, including wetlands and forests, and showcases Alberta’s leadership in environmental stewardship. We will continue to provide the safe, affordable, reliable energy that Canadians and the world needs while taking care of our beautiful spaces for generations to come.

When we talk about wind turbines, solar panels, and EV batteries, we need to also talk about what happens when they reach their end of life….and who’s going to clean it up. That’s why Alberta has taken a common sense approach to become the first jurisdiction in Canada to develop a program to recycle solar panels, EV batteries, and wind turbines, keeping them out of our landfills and protecting our environment. We cannot let radicals like Steven Guilbeault tell Alberta’s story. We need to defend our province. Alberta is one of the world’s most responsible producers of oil and gas. Emissions in methane, electricity generation, and per barrel emissions intensity in oil and gas are all in decline, without dangerous production caps or costly carbon taxes. That’s why we are at COP 29. As global demand for safe, affordable, reliable and secure energy continues to rise, Alberta is ready to answer that call, and be that responsible producer of choice.

Premier Danielle Smith has given me a clear mandate: strengthen our economy and continue to protect the environment. Albertans want a common-sense approach to conservation of our air, land, water and species for future generations and that is what we are delivering.

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, it’s also a time to remember his message of love, compassion, and service to others. May this be a season of kindness and generosity. To my constituents in Calgary-Shaw and to all Albertans across this great province, I hope you all enjoy your time with family, friends and loved ones. From my family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas! 🎄❄️🎄

When it comes to the litany of disastrous and punitive federal policies over the last 10 years….Albertans remember, it was an entire Liberal government that imposed and supported the very policies that raised the cost of living, drove away investments, limited our economy and trade partnerships, and hurt Canadian families from coast to coast. From crippling taxes on consumers, plastic bans, anti-pipeline and anti-industry laws, O&G production caps, and a closed for business foreign policy (no business case for LNG they told countries from around the world)… we know who is responsible for the economic pressures we’ve faced this past decade. But it wasn’t just one person. Every single Liberal MP and their NDP followers stood by, defended, and went along with this activist agenda for the last 10 years. Carney has the same views. If we want to ensure energy reliability and affordability, as well as grow trade relationships and markets to protect our national security, the Liberals are not the answer.

If the feds are serious about getting energy projects built, they need to abandon the very Liberal policies that are holding Canada back. You cannot build an energy superpower while upholding ideological anti-energy and anti-development policies that kill investment and hinder prosperity…like the oil and gas production cap, the net-zero power regulations, tanker bans, Bill C-69 and so much more. We are home to countless innovators and entrepreneurs, and the best thing we can do as governments on any level, is help them get going and then get out of their way. Canadians across the country wanted change, not the same approach as the last 10 years. It’s time to scrap these policies once and for all.

This week is Canadian Environment Week, which is a perfect time to look back at all we’ve been doing to steward Alberta’s amazing environment and beautiful outdoors! Alberta is showing Canada and the world, that you don’t need to choose between economic prosperity and environmental responsibility. You can lead in both…and Albertans are✅

Overall emissions are down, while energy demand and production rise. This is a success story. But the Liberal-NDP coalition wants this story silenced and ignored…. Bill C-59 is an attack on freedom of speech and an attack on the truth, plain and simple. #cdnpoli #abpoli

Last week we announced $49 million from the industry-funded TIER program, investing in 18 projects across our province to support Alberta’s economy while protecting the environment. These projects will create over 1600 jobs and inject $233 million into our growing economy, while at the same time improving waste management, recycling, and getting the most value out of our materials and resources. With this funding, Alberta continues to lead the way in building a thriving province and economy for future generations.
