Vanakkam Chennai Metro Rail can we have a protected temporary pathway until metro works are over at Kathipara. Even a simple connected barricade will suffice. This is how I walked with my foreign guest to UP town from Alandur metro station.

Puducherry which was once a french colony had proper roads with footpaths, but now it's all gone. Pedestrians have to struggle walking anywhere with arrogant motorists honking and threatening to run you over. There are zero continuous footpaths in the city.

Without a lift it is a struggle for elderly, disabled, and wheelchair passengers at St. Thomas Mount (STM) railway station. ₹11.05 crore was spent on redevelopment under ABS scheme, but no lifts were planned &amp; installed despite STM serving as an important transport hub.

Another main victim of unscientific U-turn traffic management are buses. With their higher turning radius, buses start their turn from the outermost lane, but car drivers won't wait 10 seconds and let the bus turn. Eventually traffic police intervention is needed.

Cars are designed to be extremely dangerous to everyone around it. We are allowing drivers to play around with huge digital screens after making it illegal to use a small screened cellphones.

The useless govt. of DMK can build only useless flyovers for cars in Velachery, but not a single proper footpath. 1 trillion USD economy is a sham! Elderly pedestrians are going under Greater Chennai Corporation lorries in broad daylight. Velachery 100 ft road is a perpetual mess!

It will take another 100 years before car brained Indians realise cities made for cars isn't something good to be replicated. Actually good cities will prioritise pedestrians and public transit first.

Its common for car drivers to curse and abuse you when they are caught red handed, so just ignore them and keep reporting.Even though Greater Chennai Traffic Police stopped issuing fines for online complaints, they are taking action.Most of the car owners were warned and they removed their cars

Increasing number of buses is useless if we don't eliminate private cars from our roads. A single illegally parked car was blocking multiple buses along route for the past 15 minutes.

Pedestrians will never be safe until we build bollard protected footpaths. Car drivers will keep running over pedestians at high speeds because the system protects them. Legislators and judiciary don't care about the plight of pedestians because they have tax payer funded cars.
