Nike transformed the tarmac at London City Airport into a massive 10K running track for 5,000 women to kick off the London stop of their global After Dark Tour. This was designed to highlight a critical barrier in women's sports: safety concerns when running at night. Runners began their journey at Silverworks Island and wound through London's Royal Docks before finishing with a rare, fully illuminated sprint directly down the empty airport runway, taking strategic advantage of the airport's mandatory weekend closure so no active flights were disrupted. The high-energy event wrapped up with live music sets from Nia Archives and Jorja Smith, marking the beginning of a seven-city global initiative spanning cities like Los Angeles, Sydney, and Mumbai aimed at helping women reclaim the night and move freely after dark. 👟🔥 #RefinedNG #NikeAfterDark #Running #LondonCityAirport
