During the very successful NATO Summit they hosted last week, Türkiye signaled that they want to reenter the F-35 program. This is incredibly important. They're a strong ally and they were a producer of key components for the F-35. From what I've heard so far, this is very promising. I certainly hope they follow through with what needs to be done on their end to reenter the program. Face The Nation Margaret Brennan Sen. Jeanne Shaheen Watch the full interview:

Last year, Xi Jinping told Vladimir Putin, “Change is coming that hasn’t happened in 100 years, and we are driving this change together.” China and Russia want to see authoritarianism defeat democracy and freedom. Our adversaries cannot succeed. America must support Ukraine.

President Zelensky has demanded American security guarantees as a precondition of moving forward with peace negotiations. No American president is going to agree to such an arrangement. The United States has put forward a ceasefire proposal, and so far, Russia is refusing to accept it. President Trump has said he is willing to put pressure on Vladimir Putin to accept the terms or face increased sanctions. Today, I told Jake Tapper 🦅 on The Lead CNN that Putin doesn’t have many options but to come to the table and get on board with this agreement.

The goal of reconciliation should be to reduce overall government spending by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse and reducing needless and unnecessary spending. I oppose any and all efforts to reduce federal spending by taking money from the hard-earned pensions of federal workers. Employee benefits are not a gift. They are earned. I will not support and will not vote for the Oversight Committee's current budget reconciliation proposal reducing earned pension benefits for current federal employees.
