Young people in DC need support, not incarceration. For the past 12 years, I’ve supported thousands of kids with science experiments to get them interested in become pharmacists like me. Right now, kids are acting out and fighting at public spaces like the navy yard. Rather than finding ways to engage youth, The DC Council is looking to extend a juvenile curfew. I oppose extending the curfew because it’s not evidence based, it’s antagonizing and a waste in resources. Kids need programs, not over policing.

UPDATE ON ICE in Ward 8: We’re not just protesting this $300 million complex, we’re going after everyone involved in it. First one we’re targeting is Clark Construction. Despite Clark making almost $3 billion in the District annually, they decided to build this facility despite ICE terrorizing us in DC. We’re demanding Clark remove themselves from this project.
