While Americans went hungry and watched their health care premiums skyrocket, this President started building a nearly $300 million-dollar ballroom, partied in Mar-a-Lago, and sent $20 billion to Argentina. I can’t think of anything more out of touch. Perhaps Republican politicians will come to the table to save health care when they realize who their policies really hurt.

I grew up in the Catholic faith. I understand the negative feelings around abortion. But I’ve also had three miscarriages, two of which required a D&C. I know what it’s like to need essential care in a horrible position. If we want to protect the sanctity of life, we need to protect women’s lives. We owe it to the women who give their service to our country to ensure they have access to essential medical care when they need it.

Whether it is attacking wind or solar, the Trump Administration is raising your energy bill and crippling our ability to produce the power we need. Last month, I introduced an amendment that would end the Trump Administration’s weaponization of the permitting process against wind and solar and ensure equal treatment for all energy sources. House Republicans opposed it — three separate times. I will continue to fight against this Administration’s reckless energy policy and let investors — not Washington — pick winners and losers. Open enrollment begins TODAY. Nevadans can go to Nevada Health Link but they are not going to like what they see. I’ve been in Washington fighting to extend the ACA Tax Credit and prevent health care costs from doubling, tripling, and quadrupling for millions of Americans. I voted NO on the bullshit, hodgepodge Republican health care bill that fails to extend the ACA Tax Credit and does nothing to prevent health care costs from skyrocketing in January. Speaker Johnson must bring our bipartisan bill to extend the ACA Tax Credit to the floor for a vote as soon as possible. Working families may be forced to give up their health care in a matter of days if Republican leaders fail to act.

Home health care workers deserve dignity and fair pay. But the Dept. of Labor is planning to strip minimum wage and overtime protections from home health care workers who care for more than 9 million seniors and people with disabilities across our country. I’m fighting to protect the 13,000 Nevada workers who keep our seniors and individuals with disabilities safe at home. I joined a letter opposing this reckless rollback to defend the workers who support some of our most vulnerable friends and neighbors.

I just voted against the Republicans’ "Screw You" bill that would cut Medicaid for millions of families, food support for seniors, & services for children with disabilities in order to fund tax breaks for the Elon Musks of the world. It would add ~$3 trillion to our debt.👇
