California’s High-Speed Rail is the quintessential example of government mismanagement. I’ve called it out since day 1. Californians were promised a completed rail 6 years ago. Today we’ve spent billions and billions, for a total of zero trains. Gavin Newsom owes us an explanation. And an apology. It’s beyond time to shut this down.

The CA High Speed Trainwreck is a national embarrassment that is now going bankrupt. This was supposed to be done by 2020 for $33 B. 6 years past deadline, we have 0 trains, 0 track, and a price tag that has ballooned 700%. At best, it’s incompetence. At worst, it’s criminal. Shut this failed project down.

During the pandemic, CA borrowed $20 billion from the federal government for unemployment insurance. 6 years later after losing billions to fraud, CA is the ONLY state in the nation to not repay its debt. California’s job creators should not be punished for Gavin Newsom’s failures. California’s energy crisis is nothing new and it certainly wasn’t an accident. It was self-inflicted by Gavin Newsom’s poor energy policies. We have the highest gas prices in the nation - nearly $2 over the national average - and 55% of the cost per gallon is a direct result of Sacramento’s policies. It’s no wonder Californians are driving to other states to buy gas! Thankfully, while Newsom pushes his failed none-of-the-above energy policy, President Trump is fighting to unleash our domestic energy dominance ⚡️🛢️🇺🇸
