Englishman and Golden Tempo have set off back to our old KY home. Grateful to get to work with such amazing colts.

Jack is 20 years old with no signs of slowing down. He now has a problematic ankle that we are sparing no expense on keeping him comfortable on. Not for our use but because he does not handle life at the farm well. He is happiest with a purpose and just being around the barn. I have had him in my life since he was a yearling and owned him since he was 3. It is not a thought I want to have that he is getting up there in age.

We call this “so you want to be an exercise rider”. Belladonna Racing Partnership Cromwell is always a handful exiting the track. He had a monster work this am and still can’t contain himself. He walks quietly to the track, stands, behaves galloping it’s just here. I know there are a lot of real horse trainers that will inevitably comment, we have tried everything…the pony has been mounted, correcting him only encourages the antics. Once he is a few feet from the track he settles down.

Englishman is such a pro. Breezes like a monster then just saunters off the track like a barn pony.

A colt like Englishman is what makes you spring out of bed. This am he breezed a “leisurely” 5/8 from the 1/2. The 1/2 in 47.2 -5/8 in 58.3-1:11.0

One of the great pleasures of living in Lexington is living right in the middle downtown and this being 10 min away. I take the backroads home just to enjoy the scenery.

We were all excited to welcome She Feels Pretty but none more than Mickey. He had been quietly eating grass for a while until this moment.

I could post the same cringe gym selfie or show results…..that my friends is 703#’s. My orthopedist ( Tony Infante ) warned me not to go too far down to risk breaking the post in my knee replacement so this is as good as it gets for this former gym obsessed woman

Many reasons to enjoy training Golden Tempo but at the top is his demeanor. Breezed this morning and just wants to play when most want to be aggressive
