Maker of Nyra and the Garden of Moros and Song of Iron!

Shorts

The Halo/Activation news has me reminiscing about my time on Halo 5 and Halo infinite. The animation team was top tier both their work and to work with. Sad to see friends loose their jobs.

A bad camera can take you out of a game so fast, so I am putting a ton of work into mine. The goal is a player could beat the game without ever needing to touch the camera's controls. This is just a camera (things) montage. Are you interested in how this stuff works?

The climbing systems in Nyra and the Garden of Moros, has been the hardest thing to build I have ever made. The edge cases are endless, but I am forging on. Great to again look back at where things started.

If you’re ever feeling unsure of how a project is going be sure to look back at where you started. You’ll surprise yourself how far things have come!

Had the Idea for this hammer faced Keeper for a while. An earthquake maker. Also want the first keeper you encounter to be impressive to give a good first impression.

The climbing system has to be the hardest, most complex and most rewarding things I have ever built. The work on it will never be done, but I think its turning on pretty good so far.

From the very start of Nyra, I wanted to give players the option not only to kill but also to save the keepers. Removing their curse will free them. For me making the game I get to make fun moments like this. (these are special moments so I wont share many)

The journey is the goal. I make games because I love making things, I love to learn and to improve. Keep track of your progress so you can look back to where you have been.

Selling the scale of these guys is super important and an impact meant to shake the world better feel like it. Added an improved camera shake system along with stumble animations hopefully help!

How do we fill our worlds with detail? Build tools to make our lives easier! Pre-designing a Biome's look, how it interacts with other systems lets me drop one into an area and in second have a forest This is a must for the open world of Nyra and the Garden of Moros

Real world example of a video game camera in action! Very similar to the feel I am after in my game, especially while riding Rama around. Keep in frame without adjusting to every twist and turn.
