![#NationalTechnologyDay What you see here is "India's first Ballistic missile Interception": Based on the trajectory of the missile it looks like MR-SAM. -The way the Interception was executed was fascinating af! -Totally 2 interceptor was launched against incoming Fateh-1. -initially the missile gained altitude and speed. -if you watch the clip slowly, when the interceptor was nearing the Target it slowed down/aero braked using the control surface in the front and slowly went and exploded near the Target [note : not a kinetic strike/hit to kill ] -Same did the 2nd interceptor. Then why was the 2nd interceptor launched? This is it achieve 100% kill probability, if the 1st interceptor failed 2nd interceptor can take it down, but in this case 1st interceptor successfully damaged the incoming missile and 2nd interceptor took down the damaged missile. In end of video the missile debris went off trajectory and crashed at high speed.
