This morning, I rushed to the site of the major fire accident in Porur, where a massive blaze had broken out at a wooden warehouse. Nearly 11 lorry loads of water were deployed to bring the fire under control. Ensured swift and coordinated action by the Fire and Rescue Services, Metro Water, Police Department, and other concerned agencies, which helped prevent any injuries and stopped the fire from spreading to nearby residential and commercial areas. Subsequently, I convened a review meeting with Electricity Board officials to ascertain the possible source and cause of the incident.
