Cofnas tells Coleman Hughes that we don't have to be telling voters in Iowa about group differences in intelligence. Hughes asks how you keep it from spilling out. Cofnas: "There can be a mild taboo. It can be considered impolite to talk about it." Wait, what? I thought Cofnas' entire point was that we have to have a response for when liberals make woke arguments. So we talk about it among elites, and then some activist comes along and says that discrimination causes disparities. At that point, what do you say? He acts as if CNN won't be able to report on race science conversations that are going on among "elites." What happens then? He just rediscovered the taboo he's advocating against. It sounds like he's come along to accepting my idea of Esoteric Cofnasism. But the point is that this discussion can't be too widespread among elites, or it will obviously be part of the general discourse, which even Cofnas himself doesn't want!

A telling moment in Cofnas' discussion with Coleman Hughes. Hughes asks Cofnas, if people can understand overlapping bell curves, why does Charles Murray say he can't get people to understand the concept. Cofnas suggests "cancelling one year of middle school, just to teach every child in America to understand the concept of overlapping bell curves." So for Cofnasism to be accepted and not be dangerous, Cofnas needs to dedicate a full year to making his ideas safe. Is this practical? As I've argued, people completely understand overlapping bell curves in other contexts: So that's not what's going on here. People are wired for racism, and always looking for excuses. Cofnas suggests handing every chud a machine gun they can aim at those they hate and having faith that everything will work out. The fact that he acknowledges that you need reeducation to make the world safe for race realism is quite the concession. But the reeducation needs to be toward anti-racism, not centered around statistics. In other words, to get race realism, we need to double down on wokeness! Or at least a certain aspect of it.

I like this video because it demonstrates how you can be the exact same guy doing the exact same thing and get wildly different reactions from women, from creeped out to curious to googly-eyed giggles. The key is not to be that invested in any particular interaction.

How stupid is Nick Shirley? He tells interviewer Andrew Callaghan that he lost respect for him for not denouncing the killing of Charlie Kirk. Callaghan responds that he did, and Shirley admits he didn’t watch the relevant video because he doesn’t want to since he already decided that Callaghan didn’t denounce the killing of Charlie Kirk. I want you to watch this clip. Joe Rogan brings up the UFC fighter saying Michelle Obama is a man. Vance says he couldn't believe that this ended up being national news. Rogan responds: "Well, I kind of understand it because it's at the White House..." Thank about this exchange. Vance is trying to be a "cool guy" in front of Rogan. Look, I may be the vice president, but I curse just like you do, and also have questions about UFOs and the Epstein files. But it's not like I can find the documents, bro, they got rid of that stuff a long time ago. Rogan is the guy who has to remind him that maybe we should have some standards in society. Vance tries to hold his ground, but Rogan finally shouts him down that this isn't something you should be saying at the White House. It's like when a kid is trying to impress the cool crowd, and he goes too far, and they have to be like settle down. Vance is desperate to be accepted into Rogan's world. But he goes so far that Rogan has to stand up for civility and maintaining standards. Vance craves acceptance from father-like figures. It is painful to watch. It's not an accident that he became Trump's lackey. He was made for this role.
