I accidentally “invented” a drink. I had dinner at the Dover Street Counter with Martin the owner. I asked for a gin sour. The bartender says there’s no such drink. He made one anyway. Martin loved it. It’s now on the menu. I’m proud to say it’s called “Richard’s”. At last I have a legacy. And it’s booze.
