Last night I visited the Ramadan Streets event at Birmingham City FC and can’t recommend it enough. Huge credit to everyone who made it happen. In only its second year it’s fast becoming part of the community calendar. Events like this show what our football clubs can be at their best - places that bring the whole community together.

Securing the funding for the East Birmingham Metro is only possible thanks to real partnership - with Tom Wagner, Rachel Reeves, government support and Bham City Council all playing a part. I’ve worked hard to bring the right people together to make this happen - and now we’re one step closer to transforming lives in East Birmingham.

A fantastic day for rail in our region. The Midlands Rail Hub is moving forward – bringing new links, extra platforms and up to 300 more trains a day. At a recent visit to Kings Norton Station, I saw first-hand how this investment will connect communities and deliver better journeys for everyone.
