Riding in a bus on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway from Victoria Island to Ibeju Lekki. Journey so smooth and time-saving, per kilometre 🤗 This is truly game-changing experience for commuters. Thank you, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for embarking on this legacy infrastructure.

Peter Obi wasn’t officially invited to Pope Leo XIV’s inauguration; he attended the ceremony and was given access to the area reserved for members of diplomatic community due to the influence of Dr. Kayode Fayemi. This is the part he didn’t explain to his mob in that epistle 🥸

UPDATE: The deal is sealed! This afternoon, the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab (Tokunbo Wahab), met with Adetokunbo Ogunnoiki (21 🫧), a young innovator, who gained viral attention last Saturday for his daring proposal published on X, detailing how his startup can deploy technology to create seamless access to the newly-installed public toilets in strategic locations in Lagos. The viral post was brought to the Commissioner’s attention, prompting him to invite the whiz kid. Adetokunbo, in company of his startup partner, Ademola Gbadero, presented his idea to the Commissioner in about 30mins. They duo demonstrated how they developed a tech solution to solve similar challenges on their university campus, the University of Ibadan; the platform, the said, has successfully helped students locate clean and available toilets within the school. The Commissioner interviewed the young innovators in company of his cabinet colleague, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic Geographic Information Systems (e-GIS), Dr. Olajide Babatunde, and the Director of Sanitation Services in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Dr. Sanuth. In their PowerPoint presentation, Adetokunbo and Ademola outlined their proposal for the development of an advanced model of their tech platform, which would enable commuters in Lagos to easily find clean and available public toilets in real-time using geo-mapping. They explained how their platform would provide users with information about toilet availability at every location, cleanliness ratings, walking directions and estimated time to walk to toilet. The Government team engaged the young innovators on their presentation, identifying areas for improvement and also highlighting potential limitations that could be addressed after the launch. Fascinated by the idea, the Commissioner approved Adetokunbo’s proposal. He also requested a comprehensive budget for the project be submitted in the next meeting coming in a few days. This project will further bolster the drive for a “Cleaner Lagos” being championed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Adetokunbo Ogunnoiki, 24, is a fresh graduate of Mathematics from the University of Ibadan. His colleague, Ademola Gbadero, is a 24-year-old final year student of Mechanical Engineering, at the same school. Caption: Adetokunbo in White native, Ademola in carton colour shirt.

Sam, you are trying to be clever by half, but your illogical submission here exposed your hypocrisy and hatred for the truth. You claimed you wrote Sen. Ken Nnamani’s “iconic speech” as his Assistant on Research, but the then Senate President never gave a lengthy speech on the Senate floor when the Third Term Bill was defeated. Nnamani simply said: “The Senate has clearly and eloquently stated that we will discontinue further processes on this amendment bill.” So, in which speech did Nnamani mention the names of people who opposed Obasanjo’s Third Term? If Nnamani read any speech (as you claimed) praising those who fought against the Third Term Bill, it certainly wasn’t while he was still the Senate President under Obasanjo. Sam, you are free to grandstand and tinker with history just because you have morbid contempt for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But downplaying his role in resisting Obasanjo’s bid for a third term is at best deliberate mischief. Tinubu was the sitting Lagos Governor when Obasanjo schemed to change the constitution for a third term. Lagos had three Senators, and all three actively participated in the Third Term issue. Two of these Lagos Senators, Tokunbo Afikuyomi and Olorunnimbe Mamora, were completely loyal to Tinubu. The last of the Lagos Senators, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, had already switched loyalty, joining the PDP, which was Obasanjo’s party at the time. Afikuyomi and Mamora openly campaigned against Obasanjo’s Third Term agenda, while Obanikoro tacitly supported it. How can you now claim Tinubu wasn’t at the forefront of the politicians who campaigned against Obasanjo’s unconstitutional third-term agenda? For clarity, I never intended to attribute the anti-third term effort solely to Tinubu. I knew many people including Senators, Reps, Governors and frontline politicians of the period were involved in the campaign and my previous tweet did not seek to diminish their efforts. I simply highlighted efforts by Tinubu as the then sole Governor of AD in the Southwest, which was Obasanjo’s home base. Even your boss, Sen. Ken Nnamani, after his Senate Presidency, mentioned Tinubu as one of those who helped defeat Obasanjo’s third-term bid. It is not possible to rewrite history in 2026, simply because you dislike Tinubu’s personality. For the sake of truth (if you care about it), listen to former Gov. Orji Uzor Kalu, now Senator, who confirmed Tinubu was among the sitting governors who thwarted Obasanjo’s third-term attempt.
