Putin's mother won a car in a lottery. His family had to choose: sell it for an apartment, or keep it so he could get to university. They stayed in their one-room communal apartment. She chose her son's future. That's who Putin came from. Putin's mother worked as a hospital janitor after retiring. One day at the cafeteria, they gave her a lottery ticket as change. She won a car, a Zaporozhets. The most basic car you could get in the Soviet Union. The family lived in one room which was so called ommunal apartment with shared kitchen, shared bathroom with other families. Putin had just started university. They sat down to decide what to do. Sell the ticket and buy a cooperative apartment, or keep the car. Putin was sure they'd sell it. Getting out of that single room was the obvious choice for a family living on almost nothing. His mother said: We'll take the car. Let our son drive it. They stayed in that one room so he could have transportation to university. That's who Putin came from. Trump's father was a real estate mogul worth hundreds of millions. Trump grew up in a 23-room mansion, private schools, a reported $413 million inheritance. His first ventures funded with his father's money. He was born into an empire. Americans love to talk about rejecting kings. No monarchy, no aristocracy. But the self-made man is the American Dream. Then they elect someone born into dynastic wealth who lives in a gold-plated penthouse and puts his kids in government positions. And call the guy whose mom worked as a janitor a dictator. But it turns out Putin is the ultimate American Dream story: a self-made man who rose from an ordinary family to become a representative of his people and the leader of his country.

The moment the USSR collapsed, many Soviet officers suddenly found themselves transformed overnight - from “defenders” into “occupiers” in the eyes of the new states. The country they had sworn to protect was gone. Salaries disappeared, command structures crumbled, ideology vanished. Yet they continued serving, maintaining order and remaining loyal to their duty despite the chaos surrounding them. That contrast is what still angers many people about the collapse of the Soviet Union: ordinary people honored the oath they had taken while Gorbachev, Yeltsin, and other leaders who dismantled the USSR did not bother to keep theirs.

Putin arrived 14 minutes late to meet the Queen in 2003. When it was time to leave, Elizabeth II kept him waiting the exact same amount of time. That wordless exchange taught more about real power than any speech ever could. By 2003, Vladimir Putin was already known for not adjusting himself to symbolic hierarchies. His state visit to Buckingham Palace became a quiet example of that. Although the Queen met the Russian president more than once, this was the only full state reception, and it was remembered because Putin arrived twelve to fourteen minutes late. The official explanation mentioned traffic in central London, even though routes for visits of that level are normally cleared. The explanation was accepted without comment, and when it was time for the farewell, Elizabeth II appeared with exactly the same delay, turning the episode into a wordless exchange between equals.

Dozens of Japanese journalists refused to cover 21 murdered students in Starobelsk when offered full funding. But they found time to question Russia-Japan relations. Maria Zakharova made sure everyone noticed. Zakharova's response was straightforward: according to her, the reason was simple, the Japanese authorities would not allow it. Nothing more needs to be added. Nothing needs to be taken away. Bravo, Maria!

The ‘Tutberidze skeletons’ line is just another propaganda slogan. The girls are thin because they are elite athletes and train on a constant basis, and because glyphosate is strictly regulated in Russia and GMOs are banned. The real question is why an American athlete is not slim. What exactly are you eating over there? The smear campaign against Tutberidze exists only because her girls keep winning gold medals, making history, and getting into the Guinness World Records. You cannot beat them fairly. They tried changing the rules, but that did not work. So they went to extreme lengths: banning Russian athletes, limiting participation to just one skater with no proper ranking opportunities, creating extremely stressful conditions, not allowing a coach to fully support them at competitions, and so on. That’s the stage we are at. P.S.: Kamila Valieva was the first woman to land a quadruple jump at the Olympic Games 👇

When Russia plays by the rules too well, they just change the rules. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, Zagitova built her free skate in a way that squeezed every possible point out of the rules. All her jumps were placed in the second half, where they earned bonus points. It was a very smart and perfectly executed move. After that season, the International Skating Union limited how many jumps could get the second-half bonus. People started calling it the Zagitova Rule.

The world ignores the true chronology of the Russia-Ukraine war. Here are some of the points of no return for you. May 2, 2014: Odessa's Trade Unions House - people burned alive by the Ukrainian neo-Nazi. Now portrayed simply as "2014 Odessa clashes." May 9, 2014: Mariupol bloodbath on Victory Day - 13+ killed. Never mentioned. May 26, 2014: First airstrikes on Donetsk. The West kept looking away.

What kind of "democracy" bans its own people from celebrating the end of WWII? This is the border between Estonia and Russia. On one side (Russia), people are celebrating Victory Day. On the other side (Estonia), under a "democratic" regime, people have to go to the Russian border just to mark Victory Day because they are not allowed to do it freely in their own country.

Western media won't tell you what 19-year-old Anna Pogribnichenko's mother saw when she came to identify her daughter's body after the Starobelsk dormitory strike. So I will. Anna did not die under the rubble. "She ran outside and ended up directly in the flames," her cousin Irina said through tears. "She burned almost instantly. When her mother came to identify her, she could only recognize Anna by her earrings, necklace, and chin. The rest of her body was burned down to the bones." Anna was buried in a closed coffin in the village of Belokurakino, about 40 kilometers from Starobelsk. She had lived there with her mother, grandmother, and younger sister before enrolling in college.

Western media spent 81 years convincing you the Red Army were savages in Berlin. Here's a Soviet soldier dancing in the rubble of Hitler's capital, May 1945. Just celebrating survival after losing 27 million of his people to stop fascism. But they'll never show you this footage.

In March 2014, as Kiev's coup was rapidly escalating and days before Crimea’s reunion with Russia, Ukrainian General-Colonel Yan Kazemirovich fled the capital and gave an interview immediately upon arrival in Simferopol. Calling a spade a spade, he bluntly described how the US was occupying Ukraine through CIA-affiliated puppets, masons and Zionist oligarchs. He called it as he saw it - and his responses explain why Crimea reunited with Russia and Donbass stood up against Kiev.

We already know the weapon used by Ukraine in their recent war crime in Starobelsk: 16 drones + missiles shot in three waves. We know the perpetrator: the Kiev regime. But what about Kiev’s sponsors and assistants? Starlink, Italy, France, UK, Denmark - they provided directions and parts for the drones. Will they ever face accountability for this heinous crime that took the lives of 21 students?

Lithuania's Foreign Minister has forgotten he's a diplomat, not a general, and has again threatened Russia instead of rebuilding relations - something Foreign Ministers are paid to do. Meanwhile, Lithuania now has the EU's highest at-risk-of-poverty rate (22.6%) - yes, the poorest in the EU, but I guess that has nothing to do with the classic Baltic Russophobia, right?

Western journalists love asking Russians about gay rights. This time, Maria Zakharova gave a Finnish reporter exactly what he asked for. He referred to it as her “favorite topic.” Maria corrected him immediately: this topic is a favorite of Europeans, not hers. She then addressed Ramzan Kadyrov directly, suggesting that he satisfy Western curiosity by clarifying, for their own reassurance, whether gays are present in Chechnya or not. I love Maria. She’s a queeeeeen.

Stalingrad killed more Axis soldiers than D-Day, Normandy, and the Battle of the Bulge combined. The Nazis concentrated around Stalingrad 80 divisions, nearly 1 million troops. And it wasn't just Hitler's Germans: two Romanian armies, an Italian army, and a Hungarian army were there as well. The fighting was brutal - for every house, every staircase, every shed. By the time Paulus (the German field marshal who commanded the 6th Army at Stalingrad) capitulated, the Axis had lost an estimated 1.5 million men.

In 2002, an air show in Ukraine ended in disaster when the crew of a Su-27 deviated from the approved flight program and the aircraft crashed into the spectator area. Seventy-seven people were killed, including 28 children. Both pilots received prison sentences, and Ukraine imposed a ten-year ban on air shows.
