“Niva Duwad Te” is a Development Communication Project happening in Villages of Sukma District of Chattisgarh. The area was “Red corridor Area” a highly sensitive zone which was once a centre of Naxalites who were operated by CPIM(Maoist). Niva Duwad Te is a special public awareness and outreach campaign by Sukma police to bridge the communication gap that was stopped by naxalites. After 31 March, when India is now naxal free, local tribes are seeing new technologies, games, toys, bags, new clothes for the first time. The campaign motive is to increase trust and have a dialogue with police, who will provide the needful things in interior areas. The officials set a Chaupal and listen to the locals problems. Since I’m the first to be a part of Niva Duwad Te the initiative is promising and has give a lot of hope to the villagers for the good changes according to their needs. Badesatti is the first village of Sukma District to become Naxal-free.
