The United States has lifted the blockade and Iranians are now moving oil and provision 10 of the MOU commits the United States to waive sanctions upon the signing of the MOU (so, now) to permit the Iranians to collect payment for that oil. HT Aishah Hasnie Fox News

The Iranians have continued to threaten assassinations against Trump and others including his daughter. The waiver on oil sanctions plus tolls have allowed Iran to collect as much as $5B. This ends. We would be be wise to have max economic pressure reinstated including the blockade. The WH just announced it is doing that. Blockade coming back. HT Gillian Turner

A state poses a threat to the United States when it has the will and ability to inflict harm. The IRGC still has the will to harm the US as evidenced by the ongoing attacks against US forces and our allies in the region. -Trump can claim a win in Ankara by pointing to the enormous NATO defense investments. Over the last decade Europeans have invested over $1T in defense including hundreds of dollars in US defense industry. - Turkey has a foot in both worlds: Europe and the ME. According to the Qatari readout Israel isn't party to the "deconfliction cell" just negotiated. Israel just discovered yet another Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lenanon, from which Iran-backed Hezbollah is launching terrorist attacks against Israel. ht Varney & Co.

The Iranians have not been complying with the MOU. Sec. Wright was on point by noting only the USN is getting ships through the Strait. And the US has now removed its waiver on oil sanctions (only China was buying Iranian oil...) and is right now conducting military strikes on Iranian targets. HT The Bottom Line

- One of our greatest advantages is our alliances and specifically with Israel. And the IRGC wants to drive a wedge between us. - Restraining Israel should not be part of a deal with Iran. Hezbollah is already required to disarm accoring to multiple UNSCRs and Lebanon is required to disarm it. - Israel cannot afford not to defend itself and we should expect it to continue to do so.

President Trump pumped the brakes on the deal. There will be no deal unless it satisfies all of the US requirements. And *senior officials tell me* that there will only ever be US action based on demonstrated Iranian behavior. And US forces will not leave the region and will be read to resume operations should the POTUS direct it.

Russian propaganda is influencing the right-coded podcasters and even some Members of Congress. The leftwing has long been sympathetic to arguments from our enemies but now we have the horseshoe in effect. Regardless of your view on the degree of help we supply Ukraine, we should be clear about who are aggressors vs defenders and enemies and allies.

We aren't calling it Project Freedom anymore, but the US is successfully guiding ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Some reports say as many as 17 ships per day, far fewer than the 100/day before the war but 3X as many as just a few weeks ago. And at the same time we are degrading Iran's military capabilities around the Strait. But we cannot treat attacks aimed at US forces seriously only if Americans are killed.

It's a strawman to say that skeptics of Iranians abiding by the MOU want a massive ground operation. President Trump has threatened to seize Kharg Island (that would be boots of the ground) and there are MEUs ready for the kinds of missions to seize key islands. And we DID have boots on the ground to rescue the downed airmen. What I want is to achieve the President's goals.

The United States backs the Iranian people against the Iran regime. UN Amb. Waltz published a statement in support.
