The only reason Ronaldo hasn't reached 1000 goals yet is because he isn’t as selfish as they say

🚨⚪️ Cristiano Ronaldo in 2019: 🗣️ “People always talk about dribbling, about solo runs, about what I used to do before. I understand it, because they remember a different version of me—the winger who would take on three, four players and create something from nothing. But football is about evolution. Today, my role is different. I play closer to goal, I focus on movements, positioning, finishing. I’m there to score, to decide games, to help the team win. That’s what matters most at this stage of my career. Of course, I still have the ability. If I really wanted to drop deep, take players on, do solo runs—I can do it. And I’m confident I would still do it at a very high level. But that’s not what the team needs from me right now. Football is not about showing everything you can do, it’s about doing what is necessary to win. I’ve already proved that side of my game for many years. Now, it’s about efficiency, about being in the right place at the right time. At the end of the day, people can talk about dribbles, skills… but goals win matches. And that’s where I focus.”
