A historic and official statement in #Yerevan: the European Union will open its market to Armenian products if Russia closes its market to them. The President of the European Commission said: "I am aware that not everyone welcomes the growing ties between the European Union and Armenia. We are fully aware that #Russia is trying to pressure Armenia not to move closer to the European Union. We will not allow that. We know this, and we will support #Armenia in resisting such pressure. That is why I am here today to state unequivocally that if Russia closes its market to Armenian products, the European Union will open its doors to Armenian goods and products, giving them access to the #EU's market of 450 million consumers. We want to stand by our friends."

Today, the President of #Azerbaijan accidentally revealed #Russia's anti-Armenian position regarding the regional blockade. Today, during the session of the Eurasian Economic Union, a debate began between Prime Minister #Pashinyan of #Armenia and President #Aliyev of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan isn't a member of the EEU, and Aliyev appeared at the summit because Armenia didn't block his participation. First, Aliyev used the phrase #ZangezurCorridor, which symbolizes Azerbaijan's territorial claim under the name of the road corridor from Armenia. It is an illegal demand, and according to the statement of November 9, 2020, Armenia didn't promise to give an extraterritorial corridor to Azerbaijan. Aliyev previously admitted that he himself put the idea of the Zangezur #Corridor into circulation. But the interesting thing is that during this summit, Aliyev announced for the first time that Russia also supports Azerbaijan in the Zangezur Corridor issue. In response, #NikolPashinyan stated, "It is very interesting to know that Russia supports the project you mentioned. To be honest, this is the first time I have heard about it. I know that Russia supports the opening of all transport and economic communications in our region." I think that Pashinyan's surprise isn't so sincere because everyone in Armenia was aware that we are dealing with the #Russian-#Azerbaijani alliance. Today, Aliyev spoke openly about it. The video shows that #Putin doesn't in any way deny Aliyev's idea that Russia also supports the idea of the Zangezur Corridor. Thus, it was revealed why, after November 9, 2020, Russia refused to fulfill its #security obligations towards Armenia when Azerbaijan was attacking. During these three years, Azerbaijan occupied 220 square kilometers of territory from Armenia. Azerbaijan blackmailed Armenia with #military attacks and tried to get the Zangezur Corridor, but the Armenian side refused to fulfill this demand. Aliyev revealed today that Russia supported Azerbaijan's illegal Zangezur Corridor project. Thus, it becomes clear why Russia refused to fulfill its security obligations towards Armenia. The goal was clear: so that Armenia remains alone during the military attacks of Azerbaijan and is forced to give the Zangezur Corridor. However, Armenia didn't remain alone, and today it has the support of the #USA, the #EuropeanUnion, and #France. They openly expressed opposition to the Zangezur Corridor project, which is actually a territorial claim from Russia and Azerbaijan to Armenia. I have always insisted that Armenia should become independent from Russia and get closer to the West. Today, the necessity of this idea of mine was proved once again. This discovery by Aliyev made it clear why #Russian peacekeepers in #NagornoKarabakh didn't prevent Azerbaijan when it closed the #LachinCorridor and set up a checkpoint. #Russian peacekeepers was closed the corridor together with Azerbaijani eco-activists. When Azerbaijan set up a checkpoint, the #Russians merely observed the process and didn't prevent the violation of the November 9 declaration. Russia has created a security vacuum both in Armenia and Nagorno #Karabakh. Russia aims to get a corridor from Armenia through military blackmail of Azerbaijan. Armenia is no longer alone. #EU observers are in Armenia, preventing large-scale attacks by Azerbaijan. I hope that the #Western partners once again became convinced of the existence of the Russian-Azerbaijani tandem. The West is obliged to strengthen #economic, military, #energy, and #political support to Armenia so that it is possible to confront the Russian-Azerbaijani aggressor couple. If Armenia cannot resist, the #West will be completely pushed out of the #SouthCaucasus. The 3+3 format established by Russia, #Turkey, Azerbaijan, and #Iran proves this. I am sure that the USA, France, #GreatBritain, and the European Union understand this well.

#France will demand the adoption of a resolution within the framework of the #UN Security Council that will create conditions for the return of Nagorno Karabakh #Armenians. This was announced by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna during a speech in the Senate. "Azerbaijan planned and organized the exodus of more than 100,000 Armenians from #NagornoKarabakh. This serious crime cannot go unanswered. The conflict between #Armenia and #Azerbaijan can be resolved through negotiations. #Baku must understand that it cannot resort to the use of force" said Colonna. A clash occurred between fans after the match between the national #football teams of #Armenia and #Georgia in Tbilisi. One might be surprised by the level of hospitality shown by some fans of our neighboring country. No clashes were recorded in Yerevan.

In his address to the people, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan criticized #Russia for failing to fulfill its security obligations towards the Armenians of #NagornoKarabakh and Armenia. He also warned about the threats to #Armenia's independence and sovereignty, indirectly hinting at the destabilizing factor of Russia. "#Azerbaijan's attacks against Armenia in recent years lead to an obvious conclusion that the external #security systems in which we are involved aren't effective from the point of view of Armenia's state interests and security" said Pashinyan. He enumerated a number of events, such as the events of Khtsaberd, Parukh, and many other cases of intimidation of the people of #Artsakh, as well as the latest Azerbaijani attack, noting that all of these raise serious questions about the activities and motives of the Russian peacekeeping troops in Nagorno #Karabakh. Pashinyan also said that contrary to the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020, the #Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh are facing the danger of ethnic cleansing today. He mentioned that humanitarian goods have entered Artsakh, but this doesn't solve the existing crisis. "If real living conditions for Nagorno Karabakh Armenians in their homes and effective mechanisms of protection from ethnic cleansing are not created, the probability that Nagorno Karabakh Armenians will see the only way to save their lives and identity is to leave their homeland. The responsibility for such a development of events will fall entirely on Azerbaijan, which has adopted the policy of ethnic cleansing, and on the #Russian peacekeeping troops in Nagorno Karabakh" said Pashinyan. He added that his government is working with international partners on the formation of international mechanisms to ensure the rights and security of the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh: "But if these efforts do not give concrete results, the government will welcome our sisters and brothers from Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia with all care" he said, noting, however, that the above-mentioned issues will become more serious with this. Nikol Pashinyan insisted that Armenia has never betrayed its allies, but the analysis of events shows that "those security systems and those allies that we have relied on for many years, have set the task of showing our vulnerabilities and justifying the impossibility of an independent state for the Armenian people." Moreover, according to him, such policy has nothing to do with the government established by the revolution in 2018, the manifestations of this policy were also before that. Without naming the states, Pashinyan said that some partners are making more and more efforts to show Armenia's vulnerability in the field of security, putting internal security and stability under attack. He accused those partners of not fulfilling all the norms of diplomatic, interstate relations, ethics, correctness, even the obligations assumed by the contracts. "We call and urge our partners to respect our state and sovereignty. We express our determined will to strengthen our statehood, sovereignty, democracy, external and internal security. We call on the international community to express unwavering support for Armenia's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and democracy" urged Pashinyan. He considered it necessary to strengthen, transform, and supplement Armenia's external and internal security tools, cooperating with all partners ready for mutually beneficial steps. The prime minister also spoke about the Rome Statute, saying that the decision to ratify it was made in December 2022, when it became clear that the #CSTO and the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership tools are not enough to ensure Armenia's external security. Pashinyan once again repeated that this decision is not directed against Russia. "The deep meaning of the events happening to us in recent years and today is exactly this: will Armenia be a sovereign, free, democratic state, or will it be a fearful periphery" he said. The Prime Minister insisted that we should go after the movement for the defense of Armenia's #independence, knowing that it will not be easy, but "it will happen".

8-year-old Nver Ghazaryan and 10-year-old Mikael Ghazaryan, who were killed by the armed forces of Azerbaijan in the Sarnaghbyur village of Nagorno Karabakh, were buried in the cemetery of the city of Masis. Here you can see one small grave, too small for burial, two small coffins, too small for death. They are brothers, and they are buried in the same land to be together, as they lived their short lives together. They became victims of Azerbaijan's last war against Nagorno Karabakh and the implementation of ethnic cleansing. Nver and Mikael's teacher says that the children died in a hiding place that was discovered and bombed by Azerbaijan. It's likely that Azerbaijan used an unmanned aerial vehicle. It is certain that ground troops also invaded the village, as four people were captured from the village. In addition to the two children, three more people died, and other people who were hiding were injured. The Ombudsman of Nagorno-Karabakh also provided details about this case. The Sarnaghbyur community of the Askeran region had 76 residents before the Azerbaijani attack on September 19. Five of them were killed, 15 were wounded, and 4 were captured by Azerbaijan. The Office of the Human Rights Defender has published the names of the civilian victims of Sarnaghbyur.
