Feels like every modern championship ring has WAY too much going on. They've become unwearable. Pre-2000s was just better in every way. (the '93 ruby Bulls ring is untouchable btw)

The reason every startup has merch is because Apple perfected it from 1984-1987. Now it’s all just logos on shirts (🗑️) (Below: 1984 Mac M0001 Note Cube)

New Gatcha arcade on Bowery is insane. A hundred Pokemon card claw machines and a matcha bar upstairs. I walked in quick to see what it was, then all of a sudden it was an hour later and was down $300.

Every valuable object was once very ordinary… In 1937, Mickey Mantle learned to swing a bat by hitting balls against a flimsy metal fence in Oklahoma. He lefts dents all over it. (L) The piece of that fence that had to be removed…. (R) The card we turned it into.

The world needs less podcast clips and man-on-the-street interviews. It needs more content like *this* which requires real design & creativity.

Some trades are pure luck. But Sphere stock was an obvious buy for anyone who's been there even once. I set a 9:30 alarm on my phone to buy SPHR at the open the day after this show.

At 5:30am on May 17th, we moved a dinosaur, a Porsche, and a Warhol into an empty storefront. On Wednesday, we’ll be lining the street w/ vintage Lamborghinis. On Saturday, we open to the public. Rally Museum (pt 2)- hope everyone I’ve met on Twitter the last 4yrs pulls up 🙌

Steve Jobs debuted the MacBook Air by taking it out of a manilla envelope that he had on stage with him the whole time. Apple events just don’t have that now. I really can’t see Tim Cook ever caring about showmanship like this… but I’d load up on Apple stock if he ever did.

Diplo owns a 60yr old sheet of Timothy Leary’s LSD. Weird to some, but not that different than game-worn Jordan’s or Paul Newman's actual Rolex Daytona. These niche areas of collecting are growing rapidly, and origin pieces are going to get MUCH harder to find.

This is $10M in physical assets. 4 yrs ago it was $5M. If your retirement account can hold stocks and crypto, there’s ZERO reason you shouldn’t hold Birkins and Declarations of Independence.

Robinhood/Vlad Tenev likely just shifted retail investing for good Just announced: → Tokenized assets → Pre-IPO private company stock trading → Their own chain, where eventually *you* basically become a bank This is going to proliferate into every single asset class by 2026
