15 year old boy, Leukemia. Was on chemo. became immunocompromised and developed mucormycosis. Despite power anti-fungals needed to have his entire left lung removed. Two weeks later had developed disease in the remaining right lung with no hope of recover. Doctors gave him 2 days to live. His last request: "I just want to go outside." They moved heaven and earth since they had done everything else. He got better.
