Stone Cold Steve Austin on the rumour that he no longer drinks beer: “Yes, I still drink beer, but it’s kind of like the old timers used to come up to you in the dressing room when you first started breaking into business, ‘Kid, you got to pick your spots, you don’t have to take all those bumps.’ So, yeah, these days you don’t need all those hangovers. You pick your spots.” “Friday night is kind of like I still eat, and watch what I eat pretty strictly. So Friday is usually my beer night when I’ll have a couple IPAs, and that’s when I pick my spot.” (Chris Van Vliet)

![Rico says asking Vince McMahon for a raise is what Unlitemately led to his WWE release: “I went and asked Vince for a raise..I said, ‘I want $1,000 a week.’ Minimum [is what he was making], somewhere $75,000 a year. Not including royalties, pay-per-views, video games, dolls. I wanted a $52,000 raise on top of the $75,000. “I thought I was worth it, and Charlie and I and Jackie [Gayda] were about to come out on the SmackDown magazine cover. He told me I wasn't popular.” (Chris Van Vliet)](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2056750768766714063/ext_tw_video_thumb/2056750462658125824/pu/img/CPnsYLAcWUDmW39h.jpg)

Kofi Kingston wrestled for over 55 minutes and won the No. 1 contender Gauntlet match by defeating Sheamus, Cesaro, Rowan, Samoa Joe and Randy Orton. Vince McMahon then surprisingly added Bryan himself to the match who defeated an exhausted Kingston and seemingly ended his dream of KofiMania. 7 years ago today.
