New data shows a shocking 1 in 5 of every private rental property in Dublin is owned by a large corporate landlord -a vampire fund landlord – they own over 20,000 private rentals and are increasing their control over the Irish rental market. Backed all the way by the Government.

Rents are now 67% higher than their Celtic Tiger peak in late 2007. The average monthly rent is €2,080. These rents are unaffordable and make the cost of living crisis much worse for renters. We need real rent controls and a massive state led delivery of affordable homes.
