That means a lot to me because I don't think I ever saw on television somebody that looks like me never in a million years would I have thought that this would happen to be nominated for a Grammy. Most importantly, I feel like the song that is being celebrated and being nominated for the Grammy contains so much of my culture in it. That proves to myself so much. It proves to me also that culture is loved. Different cultures are being accepted. Yes it might sound like a silly drinking game but I feel like that could become a song that brings so many people joy, everyone has been enjoying it so much and I've been watching that and it's really just blown my mind away and so it means so much to myself, my younger self who grew up feeling like that would not be a possibility and it means a lot that APT is the one that is being celebrated so much. I'm really, really grateful and a little bit like shook. I don't even know what to say I'm like, oh my gosh.”

At the time, I was younger, more insecure, and very much in love. He’d say things like he didn’t want me around his friends or that he was too busy, and he framed it like it was about his job. I convinced myself it meant he was serious and dedicated. Now I look back and think why did you need that? at that time he was really serious about his job and i was like “that’s hot” I’ve met people after him who were way higher profile and still wanted to do more normal things with me. That was when it clicked. I had been gaslit into thinking that level of restriction was normal.”

Alex: you guys ever talked about what would happen if one of you didn’t want to continue in Blackpink? Rosé: I think we’ve… don’t remember any specific conversations, but yeah, if one of us feels like at that time it’s not the right thing, then we would all understand. Blackpink is like any relationship, if one person is not ready for something, then it should be respected. And I think we will always be ready to do that because Blackpink is only four members, first of all. So we would never be able to neglect anyone’s decision at any time in their life, and we trust that every decision made is the right decision for each person. So yeah.
