Average 5,000MW over a year x 8,760 hours is 43.8 TWh What about the cost of building an onshore wind Turbine? A 5 Megawatt Wind Turbine costs about $4m - $5m according to IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) The Turbine alone isn’t enough. There’s still Transmission, Substations, Batteries, metering and more. Electricity costs money. #China #Wind #Renewables #WindEnergy
