this long door handle always gets me

About a week ago I was going for a walk and noticed a cat in a drain pipe &amp; went to investigate. That was her home and someone had been leaving food out for her but she was starving (not sure when they came by last). She was super friendly and clearly domesticated &amp; desperate

A lot of people asking what this is - this is an eastern blue tongue skink. There’s lots of places in the garden he likes to hang out, a while ago I found that he sneaks out from under the deck and climbs the retaining wall to sunbathe
