Kuldeep Yadav took just 1 wicket in 25 overs in Galle. And this is exactly where India’s selection maturity gets tested. A wrist-spinner shouldn’t have to produce a five-for every time conditions favour spin just to justify his place. If India genuinely see Kuldeep as a Test weapon, back the method, not just the wicket column. Gambhir telling him not to become desperate for wickets is important. Role clarity means trusting a player even when the scorecard doesn’t reward him. 🇮🇳
