I’m slowly moving from “Cags will be up in 2026” to “Cags will be up in August” to “Cags will probably hit 20 big league HR in 2025.”

First AAA bomb is 113.6 mph off the bat for Jac Caglianone. 410 feet in like 2.5 seconds it feels like.

Josh Hammond is so much more advanced than even I expected and I loved him pre-draft. He’s shown true five-tool upside so far imo. Possibly the best overall player prospect we’ve seen in the system since Bobby. Reminds me some of how Colt Emerson looked in 2024.

A name to watch as the season goes on for the Royals: Eric Cerantola. He’s on the 40-man and wouldn’t surprise me to see him pitch big league innings this year. Four appearances for Omaha so far, two saves. On the season: 4.0IP, 46.7% K%, 0.0% BB%, 0.02 FIP, 50% GB%, 0.75 WHIP

HR 12 for Blake Mitchell ties the game here. He’s 3-for-3 today and now has a .908 OPS on the year.

One is fun, but twice is nice! Trevor Werner has two HR today. It’s the third inning.

That’s the first pro home run for Carson Roccaforte. The swing is fantastic and the power potential is there. His OPS is over .800 for the year after this one.

Jared Dickey puts the power on display. His first HR of the year and the first of his pro career.

I think Carson Roccaforte becomes a top-100 prospect. He just does so many things well and hasn’t skipped a beat since turning pro. He’s the best CF prospect in the system right now, for me.

Here’s Mahomes following his loss to Tom Brady in 2018-19. Compare to the comments from Texans and Stroud yesterday and it’s all you need to see to understand why Mahomes is another level. Physical talent is one thing but he’s consistently elite mentally as well.

Tonight was as good as I’ve ever seen John McMillon. The #Royals really have something here. He struck out five straight. 2.0IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 5 SO. Stranded the winning run both innings (in extras) and earned the win. Hit 102 on the gun. For what that’s worth. 🔥
