Pakistan was observing Youm-e-Tashakur — a “Thanksgiving Day.” Perhaps, many in Pakistan also truly felt a sense of relief — that someone else did the job for them. Normal operations resume at Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport in Amritsar After a week of disruption, normal flight operations have gradually resumed at Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport, Amritsar. Between December 3 and 10, IndiGo Airlines operated only 106 of its 196 scheduled flights, cancelling 90 and affecting over 4,500 passengers. Airport Director Bhupinder Singh said extensive support measures were arranged, including refunds for 247 passengers, hotel stays for over 200, and 78 taxis for onward travel. Additional staff, food, and seating facilities were deployed, along with an emergency train reservation counter. "Full normalcy is expected by December 14–15", said Bhupinder Singh.

Local body elections should be about basic issues, streets, drains, water, sanitation, parks and public services. But when ego replaces ideas, democracy suffers.
