In this video, you can witness the tragic killing of Abu Sayed, the first martyr of the ongoing Quota Reform Movement, by the Bangladesh Police. Abu Sayed was a student in the Department of English at Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, located in the northern part of Bangladesh. Although the police fired the fatal shots, it is widely believed that they were acting under orders from higher authorities. Following this incident, several others have also lost their lives. Yesterday evening, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held a press briefing where, regrettably, she failed to acknowledge the names of the students and civilians who were killed, reportedly under her directives. These acts were allegedly carried out with the assistance of the Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student organization affiliated with the Bangladesh Awami League.
