Our mission at Project Max is to combat racism, antisemitism, & intolerance through sports. Unfortunately, Deni Avdija has experienced all three firsthand at an increasing & alarming rate simply because of his faith & where he was born. All that should matter is Deni’s skill in playing the sport he loves. He has stood tall & proud against the hate. Nothing deterred him & this year, he was selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game; the first Israeli to earn that distinction. For that reason, we decided to create the Project Max All-Star Against Hate award and present it to Deni.
