END THE CORRUPTION TAX: After 8 years of Laissez-faire Lamont, public trust in our state government is at an all-time low. Your services are worse, your taxes are higher, and political insiders are getting rich at your expense. Connecticut taxpayers work hard for their money. They deserve to know that their government is spending it responsibly — not handing out sweetheart deals, rewarding political allies, or hiding behind bureaucratic loopholes. As governor, I will pass historic anti-corruption reforms to make sure every dollar is spent with oversight and accountability and that we end the corruption tax for good.

📚Educational Freedom and Parental Rights: I am proud to stand with tens of thousands of families across our state to defend educational choice and parental rights. I stayed until 4AM to hear every last family testify against HB 5468 and will fight hard against passage of the bill in the Senate. Our state government and DCF continue to fail to deliver the services that are their responsibility at the standard that we all hold in Connecticut, yet they want more power over the private school and home school decisions of families. Our state government should focus on protecting the safety of those actually in danger and delivering a great caliber of public education rather than taking more power. We can do better for everyone in Connecticut!

This week there has been not one, but two new scandals from the Lamont administration undermining public and taxpayer trust yet again. Over a dozen Banking Department employees have raised issues of unprofessionalism from the commissioner and senior leadership. The governor told the reporter that he’s “talking to the employees” but days later when the reporter followed up that none of the employees said they’ve spoken to his office, he had no good explanation. We also learned that the former Education Commissioner’s appointment to head a new state committee on vocational education, which the Lamont administration sold as a “volunteer” position, is coming at the same time that he is receiving a $250,000 no-bid contract for consulting work for his company—that has no employees and is listed at a residential address. Your tax dollars at work. It’s about time we had leadership in Connecticut that was assertive, transparent, and accountable to taxpayers. Silence and obfuscation is not acceptable in our state’s highest office.

Gov. Lamont is playing a bad joke on taxpayers in our state. He promised to protect taxpayers but he’s raised taxes by hundreds of millions of dollars and shredded the budgeted guardrails meant to protect us from more spending, debt, and taxes. Our campaign will hold the Lamont administration accountable and make the case for change. As Governor I will: -Deliver the largest income tax cut in state history -Deliver historic property tax reform -End the Public Benefits and other hidden taxes in our electricity bills

Connecticut deserves a better energy plan than “turning off the lights.” I’m running for governor to eliminate every hidden tax in our electricity bills, limit energy company profits, and reduce electricity rates by 20 percent. You shouldn’t be expected to “turn off the lights” due to high energy costs. We should expect state leaders to turn down the costs.

🔌🗣️SPEAK OUT TO CUT THE “PUBLIC BENEFITS” TAX: This Thurs. Mar. 6, there will be a public hearing to discuss my energy proposal, SB647, which will eliminate “public benefits” charges which inflate our energy bills 15-20%. The six point plan includes five other reforms to reduce long term costs for CT consumers and strengthen our grid. Your voice and support matters. We need action to reduce costs—and we need it now.
