🚨🗣️ Thiago Alcántara on his time at Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp: “I think he’s the most talented manager I’ve ever played under. The growth he builds around and into this team was overwhelming to watch. The intensity at the AXA Training Centre looks like a game day. Spraying balls and making runs all the time — it was so lovely and fun to play under Jürgen. He sets those standards you have to obey in order to be a good player. I mean, he doesn’t like lazy players, so he gives you standards so you work hard. At one time he asked me to turn the game around as a defensive midfielder. I knew what he was saying because we needed three points and we weren’t playing how we were supposed to. It gives me goosebumps because I started to spread passes through the wings and everyone began to understand the attacking system. It was incredible to be part of that era at this beautiful club. I’m always a Red anywhere I go.” 🔴
