R: They brought so much to these characters.I think the thing that amazed me the most, it was right away, the first day I visited the set. The thing about Shane as a character is like, he's very in his own head, a lot of people were wondering how we're gonna see what Shane is thinking and feeling[..] & I think what Hudson was able to do with his face is unbelievable acting. You know what Shane is thinking and feeling at all times, even when he's not speaking. Even the very first tiny scene I watched him film, which didn't have any dialogue, I was amazed. And I said that to him at the end of the first day. The way that everything's just on your face is amazing. the fact that there couldn't have been more perfect Shane than Hudson. "The thing about Hudson & Connor, they couldn't leave their hotel in NY, unless they were going to where they're being escorted to. You can't just go get a coffee with one of them anymore, or like have lunch, that's not possible in a place like NY. It might be possible in other places. I've been told that LA is more chill about them. It's not like New Yorkers, it's the people who are in town (the fans). Obviously people knew Connor was in town, so they are staking out places he might be. They get followed, they get mobbed. It's uncomfortable i'm sure." It's not just NYC, it's Europe as well... like don't people realize, indeed they have now become stars, but they're still just human beings, who deserve a minimum of privacy and, most of all, respect. 😩

Hud: The first take, my mouth was so far open. Then, the continuity person was like, I think I did another take and my mouth was a little more closed "no first take your mouth is hanging open" I was like ok so that's what we're doing. So every take.. Not out of character but. Jacob: The best part of this is pretending that you listen to the continuity person. Hud: I didn't. Editor had a rough job!
