De Koran werd gezongen tijdens de opening van het academiejaar aan de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, een universiteit met eeuwenoude wortels in de katholieke traditie. Men noemt dit inclusiviteit. Ik noem het culturele zelfverloochening. De Koran is voor moslims het woord van Allah. En in diezelfde Koran staan verzen die geweld tegen ongelovigen voorschrijven of legitimeren. Dat alleen al maakt het ronduit problematisch om zulke teksten als intellectuele of culturele opening van een academische plechtigheid te gebruiken, alsof het om een universeel symbool van tolerantie zou gaan. Een universiteit hoort religieuze teksten niet kritiekloos als symbool van inclusiviteit te presenteren wanneer delen ervan rechtstreeks botsen met de principes van individuele vrijheid, gelijkheid en mensenrechten. En nee, de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven hoeft niet ‘neutraal’ te zijn. Het is een katholieke universiteit. Ze mag katholiek zijn. Ze mag haar christelijke identiteit uitdragen. Daar is niets mis mee. Wat wél beschamend is, is dat een universiteit met zo’n eeuwenoude christelijke geschiedenis haar eigen identiteit steeds verder lijkt te relativeren en vervolgens de Koran als teken van inclusiviteit naar voren schuift. Europa heeft een christelijke culturele erfenis. Die hoeven we niet weg te verstoppen om inclusief te zijn. Tolerantie betekent niet dat je alles kritiekloos moet aanvaarden. Inclusiviteit betekent niet dat je je eigen identiteit moet uitwissen. En respect voor andere religies betekent niet dat je moet zwijgen over ideeën die fundamenteel botsen met onze waarden. Wie voortdurend zijn eigen cultuur relativeert, creëert ruimte voor anderen om haar te veranderen. Dit is geen vooruitgang. Dit is culturele zelfverloochening. KU Leuven

These images make me sick, angry and sad. This is a market where IS (Daesh) sells sex slaves. Completely covered from head to toe with the hijab and only the owner to whom they belong is allowed to see them. That there are still people in the 21st century who treat women like the sex slaves is disgusting and terrifying. But I get even sadder when I think of how people in the West trivialise such black covering, and in fact any kind of ideological covering of women to protect them from lustful gazes of men, as "free choice" or "culture" or whatever. To the people who use cultural relativism to justify such pernicious and misogynist clothes even here with us: think twice and stop giving a place to this kind of discriminatory ideology consciously or unconsciously. Stand up for these women instead of further supporting Islamisation in Europe too.

Is this the future of Europe? Here in Belgium, Ostend. So many children and young people calling for hatred. And this is supposed to be the generation of the future.... The young girl with hijab shouts : "La illaha illallah, Mohammad rasoulollah". "No other god exists but Allah, Muhammad is the only prophet. " And then she shouts "Takbir", which is an invitation to keep god great, to which the others reply with "Allahu Albar". Which should remind people that God is the greatest, that Allah assists Muslims and that Muslims should follow the way of Allah. Allah's way and what Allah wants for all Muslims is for them to be the final victors and make a great Ummah. Allah has given instructions to conquer the world, especially the holy house in Jerusalem. That is what God has ordered them to do, even if that means they have to fight and wage jihad for it until it is realised. A dangerous evolution.

We are not in a sharia court here. This is not the Islamic Republic of Iran or an Islamic caliphate. It is Washington DC where these extreme threats reverberate through the speaker, where sentences are apparently already being handed down. The demonstrators are threatening Western politicians, MPs and media, making it clear to them that they themselves will deal with the "genocide" they are "organising". It reminds me of the many fatwas and death sentences pronounced and carried out in Islamic Iran against the "enemies of Allah". They stamp, they will bring them to justice, they judge, they condemn and they ensure that some will even take action. The West really needs to take this seriously before there is no turning back. Let what happened over the past few days be a wake-up call. The signs are abundantly clear.

How Islam is increasingly asserting itself in public spaces and demanding a more prominent place in our societies. This mass prayer took place in Turin, Italy, last week. In this display of power, which is precisely what they are conveying by having 40,000 people pray in a public space, they chant: “Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illa Allah.” This means: “Allah is the greatest, and there is no god but Allah.” Meanwhile, in many European countries, Christmas markets are being renamed “winter markets” and Easter holidays “spring holidays.” Islam and its rituals are expanding under the banner of religious freedom, even though Islam is not a religion like any other. There is no clear separation between the cultural and political dimensions of this religion. The rules of Allah, known as Sharia, are to be followed literally, even in the 21st century and down to the smallest detail, even when they undermine women’s freedom and equality, or when non-Muslims are classified as “kuffar,” meaning unbelievers. The word “kafir” is used to designate non-Muslims as unbelievers, a distinction that can be used to justify discrimination and even violence against them. Europe and the West must remain vigilant in the face of the gradual spread of a culture that is not our own and shows no respect for others. We must confront this trend before it is too late.

Look at this rally in Germany. This is what things are like in Europe today. Many Iranians who fled Islamists in Iran and went to live in Germany write on their social media: "We fled the Islamists and came to Germany to be allowed to live. Where should our children flee to now?" These Islamists want to destroy Western civilisation and rule the world. They say "la ilaha illa Allah, al kholafa vaadollah", meaning "No god but Allah, the caliphate is his promise ". By this they mean that Allah will fulfil His promises in the world through His soldiers, these Islamists. They proclaim during the rally that the a caliphate is the solution. The world needs to wake up before this gets out of hand. #islamisation

Unbelievable and unacceptable! Vice President Vance is trying to shift the blame for his failed negotiations onto others, making one false claim after another simply to avoid admitting that the talks with the Islamic Republic failed because of his own naïveté and his lack of understanding of how the ayatollahs’ regime operates. Because of his misplaced optimism toward the ayatollahs, Vice President Vance gave this terrorist regime a major opportunity to humiliate the United States on the world stage. The Vice President of the United States also appears to have little understanding of the Iranian people. He seems to view Iranians—who are victims of the regime and are fighting for freedom and democracy—as a threat, while treating the ayatollahs’ regime as a trustworthy negotiating partner. Deze triestige taferelen spelen zich af in het hart van Europa: Brussel. Wie zien we hier? Veel allochtonen en daarnaast extreemlinkse Antifa, een beweging die zichzelf graag antifascistisch noemt, maar zich in haar methodes vaak autoritair en intolerant opstelt. Politiek gezien ligt die ideologie dicht bij de PVDA. Ook de Palestijnse vlag komt heel vaak in beeld. Het symbool van het antiwesterse discours. Natuurlijk zijn er oplossingen om deze wantoestanden aan te pakken met een consequent en kordaat beleid. De daders moeten verantwoordelijk worden gehouden voor hun daden. Ouders moeten opdraaien voor de schade die hun minderjarige kinderen veroorzaken. Wie zware misdrijven pleegt, moet streng worden gestraft. Bij personen met een dubbele nationaliteit moet de Belgische nationaliteit worden afgepakt en moeten ze worden teruggestuurd naar waar ze vandaan komen. Als men die straffen een paar keer uitvoert, zal de rest de volgende keren thuisblijven. Straffen moeten zwaar genoeg zijn om af te schrikken. Wie de openbare ruimte vernielt en vervolgens lachend souvenirfoto’s neemt van zijn eigen vandalisme, moet begrijpen dat dit geen spel is. Het is onaanvaardbaar gedrag dat onze samenleving geld kost en de rechtsstaat ondermijnt. Brussel verdient beter. De belastingbetaler verdient beter. En wie denkt dat hij onze hoofdstad straffeloos kan afbreken, moet voelen dat daar een prijs tegenover staat.

This is not a university in some Islamic country. This prayer was held at UCLA in California. Perhaps some think this is a harmless prayer, something that we can understand as freedom of religion. And just that is a mistake that could destroy the West. This is not a private matter, this shows how hard they could weigh on political decisions. This religious display of power has no place in a university. Praying with such a large group is a manifestation of power which falls under the political piece of Islam. Islam is gaining ground thanks to its presence in everyday life. It’s not just confined to the private sphere as it is with other religions. The words "Allahu akbar" recur every time in a prayer to remind people that "Allah is the greatest" of all gods. In Arabic, "kabir" means "great", "akbar" means "GREATEST". With such manifestations, they want to show their power. And they want to show that they will dominate. This is far from innocent, time to wake up.
