How true 😥 Astrology as a business converts sacred temples as mere places for pariharam. Tiruvidaimaruthur Shri Mahalingaswamy temple becomes Brahmahathi temple. Thirukkadaiyur Shri Amirthakateshwarar temple looked as mere sastiyaptha poorthi temple. Thirunallaru Shri Darbaranyeshwarar temple becomes shani parihara sthalam. A gigantic Nandi believed to be of Raja Raja Chola's era is left discarded near a liquor shop in Sanyasi kuppam near Pondicherry. It is said that when Raja Raja was constructing the grand Brihadeeswarar temple at Tanjavur, Sembian mahadevi, the grand aunt of Raja Raja sent this gigantic Nandi as a gift to the emperor to be installed there. Unfortunately Nandi didn't reach Tanjavur due to flood. She was then camping at Thiruvakkarai converting the brick temple of Shri Chandramouleeswar into a granite structure. Such a historical Nandi is now lying abandoned.
