What a powerful interview with Ben Roberts-Smith. This part was particularly striking ! He questions why the Government is making death payments to the enemy - the Taliban. Why such payments started before due process has been served. Where is the presumption of innocence? Having fought for a democracy he asks why has it not been afforded to him. Nevertheless he states clearly that he wakes up everyday with a clear conscience because he never broke the rules of engagement.

But Mark Nicholson says that’s insane spending. $5000 a pothole. When the real price should be approx $250. ON plans to contract it out within local communities for a fraction of the cost!!
