It was such a good feeling to roll out the seven bed Dialysis centre at GMC Handwara. MLA Handwara CDF grant of 32 Lakhs and a generous grant of 43 lakhs under SSY by the then DC Kupwara Ayushi Sudan ensured that this seven bed modern dialysis unit is finally operational at GMC Handwara. The SSY grant was used to get RO and the civil part of the project. The CDF was used to get the machinery component of the project. Hope it serves the people. What is urgently needed is Dialysis Technicians. The posts though requested officially are yet to be created.

This is a new low. The accidental deputy CM disdainfully and distastefully mocked at and made fun of NC legislator Dr Veeri. ‏ڈاکٹر وِیری sahib’s emotional moments in the assembly yesterday. I have my differences with Dr Veeri. But as a human being, I hold him on high esteem. And at a personal level, not at a political level I take exception to this shameless behaviour. The Deputy CM is a habitual offender and has now become an embarrassment for the Legislative Assembly. His alleged autonomy to abuse and embarrass is not too strategic to not be deciphered. In 2019 everything was taken away from us. And punitive measures were taken against the people of J and K in the name of law and order. Telephone networks were barred. Curfew was imposed for days. Most of the political leaders were jailed. I was jailed too. Dr Veeri. ‏ڈاکٹر وِیری was jailed too. Have seen him go through lot of stress in the jail. And it seems that Deputy CM is a gift our CM sahib has given to the people of J and K for enduring hardships, for Five years, post 2019. This deputy CM actually needs a serious coaching session in basic manners. Legislative courtesy and propriety would have demanded immediate sacking. But that would be expecting too much. Hope CM sahib shows some humility and intervenes to end this non stop embarrassment

Yet another attack on a Kashmiri in Himachal Pradesh. He is a resident of village Champora in Handwara constituency. I am the MLA of this constituency. And know the victim personally. His name is Jehangir Ahmed Sheikh. And he is the son of Mohd Jamal Sheikh of Champora Handwara, J&K. The attack has taken place on Tehsil Dehra of District Kangra, HP. I appeal to Amit Shah ji that these are incidents of hate crime against civilians, fellow Indians who are trying to earn a dignified living for then selves. Additionally they are ambassadors of integration with the rest of the country. In the J & K context these attacks strengthen elements who are opposed to the idea of India in J & K. These attacks fall in the ambit of national security. Extraordinary measures would be needed to stop these acts. The concept of impunity is the big problem. Attackers it seems do not even remotely feel that the law of the land will catch up with them. I also appeal to Rahul Gandhi ji that this is a Congress ruled state and he could use his influence to stop these attacks. Office of LG J&K and Omar Abdullah

Congratulations to the people of Rajwar. Water gushing into the reservoir at Lach. Finally we have added capacity of water after more than fifty years. The last time water was supplied through this location, it was during the tenure of Lone Sahib as MLA in mid seventies. Thanks to the PHE department. They worked hard and ensured supply of funds even during the governor rule when funds dried out. Thanks to the great people of Mawar.

IN DEFENCE OF THE INSTITUTION OF MLA My thanks to party colleagues who made today’s protest a success. We will do what it takes to ensure that the institution of MLA is not disempowered or humiliated. Losing with grace is perhaps the best indicator of how dignified is the party or the person that has lost. We are yet to see that dignity or grace. If anything almost on a daily basis attempts are made to negate the people’s verdict. This is another version of 1987 rigging. This is the administrative version of stealing an election.

The Bangus road it seems is finally nearing completion. We started working on this dream concept in 2016-2017. It was a v difficult task. In my CV, for all times to come I proudly proclaim my humble contribution. It was conceptualised as a road and a tourist corridor. 40 kms of unmatched alpine beauty. The R and B division Handwara deserves all the credit. They overcame all the challenges. Whether natural challenges of terrain etc or man made challenges. Bangus and the surrounding areas are destined to occupy a prominent place in the tourist map of Kashmir. Inshallah that will generate dignified employment for hundreds of thousands of people in the coming decades.

My request to Mukesh Agnihotri Ghulam Ahmad Mir sahib and Tariq Hameed Karra sahib to please intervene and help them out and find a way to get them home.

Whilst on a visit to Kralpora, found out about a PTM event in the higher secondary school Lone Harrai. This is the school where my father studied up till Class 8th. I went in there and this is the best thing that I could have done. I could actually visualise my father’s childhood. It was in emotional visit. My prayers for the students there. May they do well in life and be some great human beings and successful persons.
