I call on President Trump and the U.S. government to designate these Albanian groups as terrorist organizations. These are among the most dangerous in the region, in Europe, and globally. They move billions upon billions of euros, drug money, which they launder freely and without any restriction in Albania, under the authorization and protection of the head of these cartels, the leader of these criminal organizations: Edi Rama. The designation of Albania’s mafia networks as terrorist organizations would be a serious and significant contribution to the security of Albania, of the region, of NATO, and of Europe and beyond. That is why I guarantee that the Democratic Party stands ready to present every document and every piece of evidence that proves the direct involvement of Edi Rama, Olsi Rama, Taulant Balla, Ervin Hoxha, and many others in the operations of the most dangerous cartels in the region and the world.
