Earlier this morning, I took part in the graduation ceremony of the The University of Law at the Barbican Centre. I enrolled for the program in 2023 and completed in 2025 after taking a hiatus in 2024 during the election campaigns. A pretty challenging endeavour as I combined the multiple phases of my life. The Masters of Law in Professional Legal Practice qualifies me as a Solicitor of England and Wales. I hope this inspires someone out there to pursue any dream that they have deferred. You never know what you can achieve until you start. Thanks to the Lord Almighty, my wife, family and friends for all the support and prayers during this phase of my life. The life of a lifelong learner! On to the next pursuit. 🦁🇬🇭

This year, I have chosen peace. In the face of provocation, peace. In the face of attacks, peace. In the face of baseless accusations, peace. Even in the face of an AI prompt, peace. At worst, a smile. A smile that says a thousand words. Peace. Shalom! 🦁🇬🇭

This past weekend, the Cyber Security Authority Ghana, in collaboration with the Greater Accra Regional Command and the CID of the Ghana Police Service, struck a double blow against cybercriminals. In the first operation across three locations around Sakumono, a sophisticated SIMbox operation was dismantled. Three Nigerian nationals, along with a Ghanaian landlord, were arrested for their role in the operations. In a second operation in Vakpo in the Volta Region, a 3-member syndicate of Ghanaians engaged in impersonation, sextortion and MoMo-related fraud was busted. The syndicate had chosen to impersonate the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations - my good self - and defraud members of the public. They have all been processed for Court and will be made to face the full rigours of the law. Once again, we sound the caution: Ghana is a hospitable nation, but be assured that if you choose to engage in cybercrime, we will track you down, arrest you, and make you face the full rigours of our legal system! For God and Country! 🦁🇬🇭

Today was Day 1 of the rollout of courses under the #OMCP. I am excited about the number of young Ghanaians who logged in online and visited our learning centres in all 16 Regions today. There were challenges in some locations, but the team is working around the clock to address them as they arise, and I am hopeful that by the end of the week, we will be fully operational. This remains a huge investment in the people of our Country by John Dramani Mahama. I am humbled and privileged to play a part in this mega project. If you haven't signed on yet, get on board now. For God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭

The rain last weekend caused great discomfort at Ahwiam on the Old Ningo-Mangotsonya stretch. I am happy that, working with the contractor, Messrs IB Maigida, and my proactive DCE, Raphael Nartey, we have taken remedial action to ease the challenges. I am sure we will work with the Ministry of Roads to expedite the completion of the project and other road projects currently underway in the Constituency. For God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭

Yesterday's rainfall wreaked severe damage on the diversion around a bridge in my hometown of Ahwiam. The road is currently under construction, and a new bridge is being constructed to replace the failing one. The contractor had created a diversion as an interim measure, which was flooded. Last night and this morning, I engaged with the contractor, and this afternoon, remedial work commenced to address the issue. I will continue to work with the contractor and the Roads Ministry to expedite the road's completion. I remain committed to working with my District Chief Executive to address challenges expeditiously. Our focus remains on producing results. For God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭

The very people who said my words were justification for these attacks by two 'national security' operatives today are slapping a policeman who was simply doing his job? Hmmmm. This life is truly a cycle. We pray for long life and good health. Cheers. 🦁🇬🇭

Yesterday, at the public hearings of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, I asked a very simple Public Interest Question of the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Reverend Amishaddai Owusu-Amoah. My very simple question was which year did he attain the age of 60. Boom! Drama began. My Colleagues on the NPP side got upset with my question and a 90 minute stand off ensued including a mysterious 'fault' with the PA system . After the 90 minute break, I manage to get a response from him and I am allowed only one follow up question by the Chairman. That question was if the Commissioner-General had a valid contract to remain at post. He answered that for the past twenty seven (27) months, he has occupied the position without a contract. Now for those wondering why I asked these questions, here are the issues; 1. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai turned 60 years in October 2021, twenty seven (27) months ago. 2. Per the Public Service Commission of Ghana regulations, anyone above the age of 60 can be maintained with a 1/2-year contract with the possibility of an extension of another year. 3. Since October 2021, Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai has been at post and carried out functions as the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority without a contract. He has signed contracts like the dubious $100 million SML sweetheart deal with the approval and support of Ken Ofori-Atta. 4. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai replaced Mr. Kofi Nti as Commissioner-General when the later still had 18 months of his four (4) year contract outstanding. The reason his contract was terminated was that he had turned 60 years. 5. The question we need answers to is why Ken Ofori-Atta has kept his darling Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai at post for another twenty seven (27) months without a contract? 6. The same Ken Ofori-Atta told Parliament that President Akufo-Addo had given instructions that contract extensions beyond the age of 60 would cease except in exceptional cases where the skill of the individual in question is unique and not readily available. What skill does Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai have that is unique and for which reason the laws of the country have been broken? 7. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai cannot and should not be allowed to continue his stay in office even one day longer. There must be a forensic audit of his actions in the past 27 months to ascertain what damage his illegal stay has caused the tax payer. I would pursue this matter to its logical conclusion. For God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭 #LionBorn #HyeWonHye #TaL3mba

Yesterday, together with my DCE, Hon. Raphael Uriel Nartey, and my Chairman, Alhaji Issah Vanguard, I visited the Afienya Community. As part of the #BigPushAgenda, two major roads under construction intersect at Afienya junction: the Dawhenya-Afienya-Dodowa road and the Ashaiman-Asikuma Junction road. This has warranted a demolition exercise that has affected several shops and houses. We have been engaging with the affected people since February to notify them. However, I needed to visit the affected to reassure them that the Government was acting in their best interests and that, where compensation was justified, it would be paid. Once again, it was a good engagement even under the circumstances but as always, I have maintained that the job dey the ground. Afienya always has a special place in my heart! 🦁🇬🇭

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia How did you feel seeing the failure of the system you hurriedly went to commission? Rushing to prove a point leads to a bad crash. When did they carry out UAT on the system after deployment? Anyway, when the air blows, we all see the backside of the cockerel. Please push the gate hard, it would open wae. 🦁😂

I made a promise on the 27th of December 2023, as quoted in the tweet below. The pledge was to deal decisively with the rot at the National Sports Authority under the leadership of Prof. Peter Twumasi. Yesterday, he appeared with his team, and as promised, I carried out my civic responsibility of oversight as a member of the Public Accounts Committee. I remain committed to holding public officials to the highest standards of accountability. Our Nation is in need of real help, walahi! 🦁🇬🇭

This past Friday, I delivered brief remarks at the 5th Transatlantic Summit organised by the Political Network for Values at the UN Headquarters in New York. I used the opportunity to state the Ghanaian and African view on family, marriage, the education of children and the true principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I stated without equivocation the letter and spirit of the UDHR and several other international conventions and reiterated the need for the UN to uphold true human rights and not these pseudo rights that are being smuggled in and imposed on us. It is imperative at this moment that the Parliament of Ghana proceeds with alacrity to pass the Bill before it to protect the institution of family as the basic unit of society, marriage as a union between a natural born man and woman of full age and the sole perogative of parents to determine the education of their children. For God, Country and Africa. 🦁🇬🇭

When the season began, many doubted Arteta's ability to win a trophy. His tactics and decisions faced staunch criticism, and even I questioned if he was right for the job. Critics even questioned how he dresses, walks and behaves on the touchline. He is too emotional, some said. Why is he always agitated? He is too animated. He doesn't inspire his players enough. The role is too big for him, others loudly bleated. Then came the 4-match blip, during which Arsenal were knocked out of two tournaments, and the 10-point gap was closed. The epitaphs on Arteta's grave were already erected. He has bottled it again. He must be sacked. He is not fit for the job. They described Pep and others as perfect and how much better they were than Arteta. Last Monday, we all saw Arsenal place one hand on the Premiership trophy, and I watched from the Emirates as Arsenal qualified for our first Champions League final in 20 years. Even in this moment of clear history unfolding before our eyes, some still maintain that Arsenal should have scored 5 goals, not just the solitary goal at the Emirates. Arteta is still not good enough. They say oh he will still lose the final and bottle the league with 3 games to go. In all this, Arteta has remained focused. He knows that the only opinion that truly matters is the Board's. They set his KPIs. They get briefings from him on the endgame. His tunnel vision will see him challenge for the trophy and possibly win the Champions League for the first time in Arsenal's 139-year history in Budapest. He will most likely end a 22-year Premier League drought as well. That will be his legacy. They can hate him and find all the faults, but one day, a statue of Arteta will be erected at the Emirates Stadium, and all the naysayers will have is the bitter aftertaste of their bile and hate in their mouths. This post is NOT about football, Arteta, or Arsenal, but about posterity and for those discerning enough to see its true message. Eyes Fixed On The Prize! 🦁🇬🇭
